Donna Rossetti Bailey has been a teacher for her entire career, both at Rockland High School & later at local art associations where we all met. She is an accomplished artist, pastels being her medium of choice, as well as a generous & gifted teacher. Betty Rogers excels at watercolor, having many awards to her credit, including the prestigious New England Watercolor Society Signature Artist member status. Gayle Loik began her career in commercial art but has far surpassed that to become a painter with skills (& awards to prove it) in pastels, watercolor and acrylics. Susan Benoit's degrees in Fine Art morphed into a career in interior design until moving back East where she rediscovered the wonderful world of art & artists: the women who became her friends...now part of this exhibit. Her media include pastels, oils & acrylics. The highlight of this exhibit is a return to painting for Susan, who is in remission from ovarian cancer.
Each of the four artists will donate an original piece of artwork that will be raffled, with all proceeds to benefit the Cancer Support Community Massachusetts South Shore. In addition, 25% of any art sales will also be donated to CSC-MSS. Two paintings where raffled off the day of the Opening Reception and the other two will be raffled in March 2014.
